Beginning with the End in Mind

Beginning with the End in Mind

Building a business is no small task. The beginning of the journey can be painfully lonely. The temptation to go back to what you know, to do the easier but less meaningful work, to take on a misaligned client, to earn the easier dollar, to ship mediocre work never leaves you.

This is why we create visions, for our businesses and for our lives. Because the slow fade back to old habits, old ideas and old self is the stuff mediocrity is made of. And you, my friend, were born for something great.

The Power of Speaking Your Vision

The Power of Speaking Your Vision

Recently, I met with a new client who called me because he is getting published, a huge accomplishment for any aspiring writer.  As we began to dive into the creative process with our eye on how to initiate and establish an ethos (our word for personal brand) while also leading up to promoting the new book, a divine thing happened: he spoke his vision, the dream he’d yet to give words to.

This happens often when I’m in process with an artist, writer or entrepreneur: for the first time in their lives they speak out the truth of a dream or a vision which has long been planted in their hearts. Giving breath and words to our great hopes has value for so many reasons.
